Buying your first home can be equal parts exciting and daunting, but for Mitchell (25) and Molly (24), the experience has been nothing short of a dream come true. After months of searching, the couple swapped Huntingdon for Littleport, with Cannon Kirk’s Highfields Green development immediately feeling like the right place to start their next chapter together.
“We’d been looking online and came across Highfields Green on Rightmove,” says Molly. “The development just stood out. It looked open, green, and not too crowded. When we visited, we both knew straight away that this was where we wanted to be.”

“Denise, the sales advisor, was amazing,” says Molly. “She was so friendly and supportive. We never felt patronised or like we didn’t know what we were doing. Everything was explained clearly and at our own pace.”

The couple have already started making it their own. “We’ve turned one of the spare rooms into a home office and added our own furniture and pictures,” says Mitchell. “It’s starting to feel really ‘us’ now.”
The couple have quickly settled into the Highfields Green community. “Everyone’s been so friendly,” says Molly. “Even the tradesmen have been lovely. It’s just a really nice atmosphere.”
They’ve also enjoyed exploring the local area. “Ely is great,” says Mitchell. “It’s close by, full of good shops and restaurants, and the market is brilliant. You get all the convenience of a small city, but with the countryside right on your doorstep.”
Reflecting on the handover, both agree that the quality and finish of their new home exceeded expectations.
“The design, materials, and finishing are all of a really high standard,” says Molly. “You can tell a lot of care and professionalism went into building it. Everything feels solid and well thought out, and we’re so pleased with how it’s turned out.”
“We were particularly impressed by the ceramic flooring,” added Molly. “People have complimented the finish and quality, being real tiles and not cheap ‘made to look’ vinyl like we saw in some other homes.”
From the first viewing to receiving their keys, the experience has been smooth and personal. “We never felt like just another buyer,” adds Mitchell. “The whole process felt human and easy, which is exactly what you want when buying your first home.”
Now, with their new life beginning in Littleport, the couple couldn’t be happier with their choice. “We’re really looking forward to the future here,” says Molly. “It’s the perfect first home.”
