Celebrations for Cannon Kirk at the LABC Building Excellence Awards

Daryl Murfitt-Buck, Site Manager of the Highfields development at Cannon Kirk has been recognised as a Construction Professional of the Year finalist at the LABC East Anglia Building Excellence Awards 2019.

Daryl has been with Cannon Kirk since 2003 and started as an Assistant Site Manager, working across many different sites including Eastwood Green, Wimblington and Highfields, Littleport.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards is the largest business to business award ceremony in the building control sector, and recognises quality in a large variety of building projects. They celebrate and showcase innovative and creative solutions to complex technical or construction issues and building site constraints.

Attended by more than 240 industry professionals, the Awards celebrated Excellence in the East Anglia Region, with The Halls in Norwich – Norfolk’s most complete medieval friary complex providing the perfect backdrop for a spectacular black-tie evening.

Commenting on the event, Mandy Lott, Sales Manager at Cannon Kirk said:

“We are so proud of Daryl. His hard work and commitment has paid off and we were able to celebrate that throughout the evening. Though he didn’t come home with a trophy, to even be nominated is a huge achievement.”

Daryl added:

“I am extremely proud to be a finalist in such a competitive category. I had a fantastic evening celebrating with colleagues and I am looking forward to further developing my career at Cannon Kirk.”

The awards raised over £1,800 for We Build the Future, a construction and built environment sector charity.
