We are proud to share the story of Daryl Murfitt-Buck, who has been with Cannon Kirk for 20 amazing years!
Daryl joined Cannon Kirk part-time in 2003 whilst studying for a BTEC in Construction at the College of West Anglia. His first development was Eastwood Green, Wimblington, as Trainee Assistant Site Manager until he finished college. Upon graduation, he was hired full-time as an Assistant Site Manager in 2004, his first development being Sutton Mead. Gaining experience, he was promoted to Site Manager at Fallowfields, then Highfields, Littleport in 2009.
You might expect Daryl to know better than most that Cannon Kirk houses are made to a very high quality. This goes double when you learn that he and his family also live at Highfields. And their current home is not their first on the development either!
Daryl’s first home was a two-bedroom Holly at Highfields. When his family grew, they moved to a four-bedroom detached Russet from the first phase. The Holly remains in the family, however, being owned by his wife’s grandparents.
Throughout his career, Daryl has consistently demonstrated the qualities that Cannon Kirk looks for in our team members. He has been instrumental in delivering first-rate homes that exceed the expectations of our customers – and indeed, those of his own family. He has also built strong relationships between us and our suppliers, gaining the trust and respect of all involved.
“We congratulate Daryl on his incredible two decades of service at Cannon Kirk, and we hope his success continues with us long into the future,” says Sales Manager Mandy Lott.
Mandy added, “As I hope Daryl’s story shows, Cannon Kirk is a great company for anyone building a career in construction. We invest in our people, and in turn we create homes that we can all be proud of.”
