Cannon Kirk is proud to share a brilliant update from one of our long-standing Community Matters partnerships: the Witchford Colts Under 13 Blue Team, whom we sponsor, have finished second in League Three and secured a well-earned promotion to League Two.
That would be a fantastic result in any year, but it’s made even more impressive by the fact that this is the team’s first season in League Three following their earlier promotion. Rising up the ranks two years in a row is no small feat, and it speaks volumes about the talent, teamwork, and dedication of these young players, as well as the tireless efforts of their coaches, families, and supporters.
As the team’s manager, Leigh, proudly put it:
“We came second in the third league and have been promoted into League Two. Being promoted twice two years running is a huge achievement!”
As part of our Community Matters programme, Cannon Kirk is committed to supporting grassroots initiatives that make a real difference to people’s lives in the areas we operate. We began our sponsorship of the U13 Blue Team at Witchford Colts in 2023, and we’re thrilled to have played a small part in their ongoing success.

Based just outside of Ely, Witchford Colts is a thriving youth football club that runs 16 teams from age 4 to under 16, serving the local community and developing the football players of tomorrow. In a time when health, inclusion and community spirit are more important than ever, we believe that supporting local clubs like this one is more than sponsorship, it’s an investment in future generations.
The club’s positive ethos and commitment to personal growth mirrors many of the values we aim to build into our own developments.
